The makers
Bee’s Wrap is a certified B Corporation in Middlebury, Vermont. Three Bluebirds is a family business in Cos Cob, Connecticut. Full Circle Wool is run by Marie Hoff in Shasta County, California, who still raises her own sheep.

Why it is on our shelf
Wrapping, wiping and scrubbing are the three jobs a kitchen usually does with something disposable. These three are washed and used again instead.

The swap
Assuming a household would otherwise use two standard 12 inch by 100 foot rolls of plastic wrap a year, and one roll of paper towels every three weeks for each cloth, this kit replaces 2 plastic wrap rolls and 34 paper towel rolls in its first year — 170 g of plastic avoided, estimated.
